When and How to make baby zairyou card in Japan.
After child bith, Within a month (30 days). In order to obtain zairyou card of your baby, you have to submit the following documents to the immigration office.
Document from baby side
- application form. You can download from immigration website.
- birth certificate. You get this certificate from your hospital where your baby is born
- resident certificate. You get this certificate from your word/city office. Click here How to add address in your baby address.
- Passport of your child (if issued only).
Document from parent side
- resident certificate (must contain name of all members, including newly born baby). You get this certificate from word/city office.
- kazei soumensyo of the end recent year. (working parents only). You get this certificate from word/city office.
- zaiseki soumensyo (working parents only). You get this certificate from your work place.
- photo copy of Residence Cards/Passports of parents.
Note: Orginal document once submitted, not handed you back by immigration office.
